Our Finance Friday sessions provide our industry partners on the lending side a chance to present their unique mortgage products available to your prospective buyers.
Brand new real estate licensees are required to take 14 hours of CE in specific, mandatory, Commission-approved courses during their first renewal cycle. Most continuing education classes do not meet the criteria for new licensee education; be sure to check with your school or local association to be sure you’re taking the right course(s).
Real estate licensees are required to complete 14 hours of Continuing Education (CE) credit by May 31 of every even-numbered year. New licensees who obtained a salesperson license within 6 months of the renewal date (i.e., after December 1 in any odd-numbered year) are exempt from the CE requirement for that first renewal cycle.
For the 2018-2020 renewal cycle, 1.5 hours must be in the topic of property management, with 2 hours in the topic of advertising. The coursework must be completed between June 1, 2018 and May 31, 2020 in order to meet the requirement. New licensees who are renewing for the first time are exempt from these required topics but are still required to complete the mandatory courses for new licensees.
REALTOR® members are required to complete a minimum of 2.5 hours of approved Code of Ethics training every two years. Free, online Code of Ethics training is available through the National Association REALTORS® or you can take other courses locally.
